The Commissioned pieces are specific works of art that customers have asked me to create. They range from their homes to neighborhood memories to places they traveled. The photo collages can be as simple as capturing morning and evening times in the same day or combining two different seasons. I've also arranged customer provided photos into a shape or word, see the "Dragon" collage made from a customer's trip to China.
Interested in a Commission / what is the cost? I begin with meeting the customer to understand what they would like to capture, then break the project into three phases. Phase 1 is Taking Pictures; three 30 minute time slots to capture a morning, daytime and evening lighting a total of a hour and half. More complex pieces like capturing two different seasons require more time / cost. Phase 2 is the Computer Assembly; the time to arrange the photos to make a digital proof for review. This will determine how many photos and the scale of the piece. Phase 3 is Assembling; the time to use actual photos to create the collage by hand and cut the mat. I finish up with framing the collage. An 18”x24” collage framed with 1.5 hours of Taking Pictures begins at $275.
